| GARDEN DESIGN SHORT COURSE | Learn the main priniciples of Garden Design and the practical processes of appraisal, mood & concept plans, measuring and drawing up plans, creating designs and planting plans, choosing hard and soft landscaping and making plant lists. 8-week course held over 9 weeks (1-week half term break) on Wednesday evenings in our Station Hall classroom in Herne Hill | Wed 30th Sep - Wed 25th Nov 2026 | Herne Hill (Station Hall) | 8-week course - evenings | 6-8pm | £450 | ENROL |
| Fruit & Vegetable Growing basics | Wherever you are growing your fruit and vegetables, whether that's in your garden or vegetable plot, or in containers on your balcony, there's always a lot to do for the the urban food grower. This practical workshop will start by looking at some general food-growing basics with an emphasis on 'low-maintenance' food growing. Students will then be taken through some seasonal practical tasks. We'll also look at how to compost and make your own growing mediums, and at how to use renewable, recyclable resources and organic practices. If weather and time allow there will also be a tour of a low-maintenance allotment plot and we'll discuss some of the traditional and less-traditional methods people use when growing fruit and vegetables. | Making the Most of Your Garden | Do you have a garden? An outside space? A windowsill? Come and develop your understanding of it, what is already there and how it can be enhanced. | Christmas wreath-making workshops 2026 | A seasonal workshop to end the term with! Christmas Wreath-making using seasonal foliage and berries including some from your own garden if you wish. Learn how to construct a wreath from scratch and decorate with a selection of seasonal foliage & berries, gathered for you on the farm. You can make your design really personal by bringing along some of your own foliage too if you wish. | Garden Design for Beginners | Garden design. What is it? How do they do it? This mini-course offers students the opportunity to think about gardens from a planning or design perspective. It aims to demystify the art and language of garden design as well as offering a few practical techniques for planning outside spaces. | Building a Career in Gardening | A new workshop looking at gardening for a living: study/training options, career paths and the ins and outs of running your own gardening business. Led by tutors who between them have done it all! | Houseplants Workshop | Help your existing houseplants to thrive and learn to propagate new ones! This workshop will introduce some house/office plants, look at how to care for them, and introduce you to some common propagation techniques.
